In recent years, increasing attention has been paid to promoting, maintaining, and improving mental health. Treatment, rehabilitation, and long-term care are the main focus. At the same time, existing programs for promoting mental health and preventing mental disorders, especially among the adult population, are still limited and unevenly accessible. Those who need help the most have the hardest time affording it.

The focus of the project is on improving preventive services in the field of mental health and working towards better general awareness about it in our society. As part of the project, we strive to maintain the availability of services in the field of mental health, which was established as part of the project that was implemented between 20/03/2015 and 30/04/2016 as part of the Norwegian Financial Mechanism Program 2009-2014. The demand for activities within the project increases from year to year. The most sensitive are the periods after the outbreak and spread of COVID-19. The pandemic has significantly impacted people’s mental health, which is why we can expect an even greater need and, thus, demand for such services in the future.

The project is co-financed by the Municipality of Bled, Municipality of Bohinj, Municipality of Gorje, Municipality of Jesenice, Municipality of Kranjska Gora, Municipality of Radovljica and Municipality of Žirovnica.
