MAYORS COORDINATION

Many development projects and challenges go beyond municipal boundaries, which is why the cooperation of the mayors of the municipalities of Upper Gorenjska is really important. Regular meetings of the mayors coordination of Upper Gorenjska have been held since 2003 and have proven to help align municipalities’ interests. The mayors strive for joint action and joint solving of problems and challenges, as well as collaborative planning for specific areas that are important for the development of all municipalities as well as individual municipalities that depend on others. Connectivity, cooperation, and coordination are essential prerequisites for the successful functioning of the local communities of upper Gorenjska. Considering the many challenges, we adapt the contents of the coordination to current topics, which we talk about together with guests and decision-makers at the national level. The Development Agency for Upper Gorenjska participates as technical support for the coordination within the framework of which specific agreed tasks are carried out.
