Tourism plays a significant role in the municipalities of Upper Gorenjska, both for the local economy and the local population. This industry in mountain municipalities represents as much as 34% of all capacities, and all overnight stays in Slovenia.
Growth has brought new jobs and business opportunities, but on the other hand, it has also reduced the quality of life for the local population due to traffic, crowds, prices, etc. With tourism-oriented projects, we strive especially for the development of sustainable tourism, which creates greater added value, enriches the local community, enables it to progress, and is an important economic factor of the destination. At the same time, it does not threaten nature, water resources, and our environment in general.
